We are hoping to make a significant contribution to the Wrap Up Glasgow 2019 campaign run by Human Appeal. The charity collects old coats and distributes them to the homeless and those who cannot afford to heat their homes. As you will be aware, homeless people are particularly vulnerable at this time of year.
If, like many of us, you have old winter coats languishing in the back of your wardrobe, please consider donating them to the appeal. Coats are required for all ages. Pupils can bring the coats to school and hand them in to reception.
We will take the coats to the drop off location in Glasgow on Saturday 16th November.
Please note that the appeal can only accept coats.
From Human Appeal: “A winter coat might seem like a small gesture, but it can make a huge difference to a vulnerable person enduring cold nights on the streets, living in a shelter or who can’t afford to pay for heating.
“Through the simple act of asking kind people like you to donate your spare winter coat, we can help local charities to provide the homeless, refugees, children living in poverty, and those fleeing domestic violence with warmth.”
