The session involved tuition from a portrait specialist where pupils learnt new skills and techniques as well as receiving valuable feedback on their drawings and paintings. Working to a set deadline was a new challenge, encouraging pupils to change their approaches and work out with their comfort zones. I feel it’s very important for pupils in rural areas to gain as many out of school experiences as possible to broaden their knowledge and skills.  Both Emma and Holly really enjoyed the session and are keen to continue developing these skills by attending life drawing classes in Lochaber.
